@Admin: I have not got, nor do I intend getting an iphone so don't send me the codes. Thanks anyway I enjoyed your challenge.
right now the promotional codes are only functional inside the Apple US stores. We can't do a hole lot about this and are depending on Apple, to release new features in the their App store.
That means, only US customers can be provided with a free Fleetmon :mobile for now.

If you are looking for communication info, tel- nr etc (inmarsat etc) of the ship: nope we do not carry this right now.
I have tested this feature and have some questions/requests
1) When I use the program, I have a vessel list with 200 vessels. Today, tomorrow, yesterday, now, a list with 200 vessels
2) If I login, I can see port of Antwerp and port of Ghent. To much information. Is it possible in a new version to pick your location or set some nm in the configurations
3) Can I also set a zoomlevel in the configuration?
4) At bottom you can click spotter - search - about. Is it possible when you click spotter to receive all vessels in list??? Then scroll down on alfabet

Good evening admin. I was playing with Fleetmon mobile today. The only problem I have, is ....
From moment you open fleetmon, system starts refreshing and using data-traffic. If you last used it on another place, you get details you don't need. During refreshing you can't use any button.
Later you point to the place where you are and again you use some data-traffic. Double use of data-traffic. When I'm in another country, I have only 50 mb/month.
I think I found a bug. When you search a vessel and you go to detailpage, you can shift down for map. You can make map bigger, but you can't move map. Vessel is out of view then.
But this is a great update. Keep up the good work.

having unnecessary expenses always sucks, you're right.
Generally, we're pretty focused on having a smart app w/o wasting resources like memory and/or bandwidth. Sometimes it's really hard to decide between comfort & expenses. We'll see how to handle such a situation in one of the next releases.
Handling multitouch gestures in nested views is sometimes pain in the ass for an unexperienced programmer. :-) Expect that issue to be fixed soon. Meanwhile you could use a trick: Once you lost your ship on detail view's small map, simply step back (to list, spotter map, whatsoever) and call that detail view (for the same vessel) again. Map will be centered to vessel's position again. Note that this will work at no charge (no extra request will be fired).
A good idea, too: Use double tap with one or two fingers instead of scroll/pinch gestures.

I hope you understand I'm not giving negative comments, only my experience with the program and positive feedback.
I always do the double tap thing with both fingers to zoom out the map. Than you can try another time :-)
Stevo: we could count the used transfer amount, so you will have the chance to account on the transfer needed for a standard session (inside the more... tab)
I noticed that pictures who got deleted on DS (or are hidden in DS) are still available in fleetmon mobile.
And I hope in the next update (not important) that you find a way to zoom in/out on the map with a searched vessel. I use this feature more then I suspected.

Hi guys,
I'm just trying to use fleetmon mobile on ipad (no GPS-version).
And - apart from the fact that it's yet apparently only working in iphone-mode, I love it.
There's just two problems:
- The map is not updating by itself. shouldn't it be updating without me having to press "reload" every time?
- "Location Error" - kCLErrorDOmain error
pops up everytime I come back to the map from the ship viewer
That's rather anoying. Is that a bug? I read about this bug further down in older postings but it still seems to be open, right?

we only own ipads for a couple of days now :-)
there will be a version in the future, even though we do not have a timeline yet.
Since apple does not like flash, we have a complete new development tree open here to support the platform.
the described bug has not been seen on the ipods without GPS anymore, but seems to resist on ipad still.
We will fix this in the next update coming in a week.
Regarding automatic updates. We've decided yet to don't do it automatically,because of volume and costs when on the road. But I could imagine a preferences setting to enable that on an individual basis. Maybe good idea :-)
We would be lucky if apple would not take away now even 40% of the sales price. We are just looking at this development with anger, because the return for all this development stays with apple almost in the same share....

for map updating try to set the "pinch to fetch" option in the preferences (bottom navigation "more" an then "preferences" on the top). Now the map refreshes if you change the location on the map.
Is it also possible to include "my ships" and "my vessel list" in the new update?
