Hi Stevo, first you commented that you have a beautiful baby and also congratulate you, I have two and they are grown, and second, which I think is enough for now, with badly translated into English, I think I'll be a while without writing more nonsense jejeje, thanks for the comment, as they say you do what you can, but always respecting the people, greetings

Rob primarily a greeting, thank you very much for the comments, are always important for me, good pictures actually do not need stars, in that I totally agree,

On the commentary Maroanjoca the vote because I see it as an insult to me, when someone saw it was beautiful, the other did not see him well, also I agree! That helped! what I disagree is that you vote to discredit the vote before that, but I also agree that this is not a Miss Universe contest jejeje,

About the spelling errors are not on my part is to translate from Spanish to English I can not get a better translator, as they say, it is better to have a bad translator that none jejejej,

And it is true that to get some good shots, it takes time to get them all day sometimes for one or none, and I have uploaded is that some are ugly but it's also true that they are almost always to say that there is a that ship.

And to conclude I'm not mad at anybody, just ablar I like a lot, and discuss my concerns, but also do it healthily, and I believe it is good to encourage people and also have their concerns, and so all happy ,

Then I will visit your shots and are cherished as if they are pretty well I think it will, greetings and thanks for your intentions.

Javier,
I posted a few comments earlier (sorry about the spelling and typing errors but I was in a hurry) but to continue.
I have reviewed your image of Maroanjoca and yes it is a great image as is the other previosly posted image. You do not need me to give you a rating as YOU know it is a great image, after all,you have an image count of 1096 to your name - me,I have a count of 23
I don't think you realise how much people respect you. When I look at your images I also pull up the EXIF infoon the image to see how you have composed theimage.Information i have gained from you has helped me improve my images. On another subject I often view your wiki information which I find very interesting - I*would love to be able to put this sort of thing together for vessels local to me but I do not have theskill to be able to do it

So come on Javier you are a very competent photographer and have considerable knoledge of vessels, you obviously devote a considerable amount of time to this site and we are all richer from your contribution. As i said earlier you know when you have taken a great photo you dont need me to rate it - so someone gave you a poor rating,my guess they are jelous of you,if their intention was to wind you up they have succeded.Rise above it you are better than that.
Regards, Rob

Complaining about STARS on a site like this is one thing (nuts?), but complaining about your weather is completely out of bounds in my opinion. Hah!

I almost got swamped in the torrential rain after photographing "POLARIS" a couple weeks ago, and in spite of her name, she didn't get even one star.

@Lars, I did not know that his account was closed. But generally I think it is not the right way to solve problems when making it public.
As Stevo said, it's not a competition. On nearlay all shipspotting sites there will be problems when voting the fotos, example is Vesseltracker.
"I give you 5 stars and so you give me 5 stars."
If a foto is really bad and you vote it with only 1 star you can be sure in revenge you will have also only 1 star, possibly on your best shot, absolutely boring.
I do not want my fotos to be voted and as a consequenze I never vote another foto.

Rgds. Juergen

@miraflores: I agree on that, I did contact the mentioned person before and he responded with wishing to close the account. After doing that, there is no reason to give any info further. Now we've created a vote admin tool, that can be used by our image admins and there at least the voting gets really transparent.
Like Stevo said, this is not a contest and we will soon change the selection of the master thumbnail to an admin functionality.
Everybody is welcome to comment on strange votes, we can clear things up quickly.

If there is such a permanent disturbing guy in this community the webmaster should contact this member and ask him about his reason, and if necessary delete this account. But this must be done quiet and not in the public.
This is my personal mind, nobody must agree with it.

I agree with Stevo the whole idea of this site is to give information on vessels that we may spot, the images are only part of the info, but an up to date image enables you to vedrify that the ship you are trying to identify is correct.I have started uploading images as I like to contribute. My pimages may not be the best but I think they are improving. The raings have some relevence but I ,personaly, would prefer a constructive comment, such as 'try croping tighter'(see my images of Eva Danielsen. We can all learn!

For what I will be waiting with much interest, to see what is cooking in the kitchen, and without comment.
Well what the kitchen is an expression of Spanish without missing encourage anyone, I say this with much affection.

Sometimes one writes and reads, and does not know whether into or out convenient, but also is a way this forum has anything but spicy sauce, jejeje and so these stories travel the world and do not stop spinning, and people who see it will say that is cooked by DIGITAL SEAS and it's funny that just because a few words, raise the audience is likely to be important, these debates so people also share these concerns or not, say so or say he has no why it is so simple, an easy way to do that which others are now translated, have what comes jejejee

Javier, some people like to be opponent anyway. There is no way to stop this behaviour. Please do not get disturbed by this. The internet always will be anonymous.
It does not make sense to show names on votes either, when accounts can freely be created.
Just let me know about strange voting by giving the link to the image-page. It is very easy to find out for us, who is trying to bother others. Your reaction is exactly their goal... so please ignore them,
we will soon switch the ranking order to be only controlled by the image-admins.

I do not understand how you can vote this beautiful shot, the ship MAROANJOCA
with (1) Star when another page of photos of ships in a couple of days I vote a lot of people with five stars.
30.01.2010 00:12 *****
29.01.2010 22:11 *****

it's terrible that under anonymity, thus voting, I propose that is published and "no" votes anonymous, is preferable in my view that there is this form of voting, and propose that it is the managers, who carry this system Feedback is only a proposal, and also open a debate, to improve in this section.

This problem also happened on the page you say, before the votes were antonyms, and bounced as if you had a picture of the same vessel, but since they are public, things changed 100% 1000, to clear this, by here are antonyms? and non-public "if it would if another rooster sing", jejeje.

so terrible, I say that sometimes takes to get a nice few hours need to be waiting until that time arrives, and after many, sweating is that person who you love and remember so many times from him and misses you down this job as a one vote? and you almost lose the will to take up more.
greetings Javier
