stevo you have to wait for the next version of Fleetmon, where we make this a user config switch. right now I myself like the shipimages near the vessels very much, but I understand the cluttering in very busy areas. Try to zoom a bit ?

only for moving vessels, the circle will give you an impression about the time and the distance of the ship, to get to points on the map, which are crossed by the circels-border.
The circle always has the same radius in the display, but depending on the zoom-level, we calculate time and distance.
We think this is a quick way to estimate the travel times of the vessels in a visual way. And to check the distance between objects on the map.

Since you asked, I will give you an insider tip:
- select a vessel trough clicking on it in the map
- now hold your ctrl-key and click on the next vessel (read the distance of the ships
- repeat this as often as you want with more vessels
- clicking somewhere in the map deselects all vessels

give it a try - Lars
