If your software can not be turn on in year 2010 here is the reason why:
ShipPlotter includes a feature whereby bearings can be displayed in degrees
Magnetic or in degrees True. To convert between the two, ShipPlotter uses the
World Magnetic Model (WMM) from the US National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency
(NGIA).

The coefficients for the model are gradually changing and are published by NGIA
every five years. The last model (valid from 2005) expired at midnight on 31
December 2009. The new model coefficients are contained in the "WMM.COF" file
which you will find in the files area of this group. Download the file and save
it in the ShipPlotter application directory (typically C:\Program
files\COAA\ShipPlotter\ but may be elsewhere on Vista/Win7 platforms) and
restart ShipPlotter. The error message will then disappear for the next five
years.

Future releases of ShipPlotter will contain the new model coefficients.

That means, that the official MMSI and/or IMO-Number of a vessel does not comply with the data-base.
In this case the uploaded vessel will not be visible.
